Eddie Obeng

Agent of Innovation: Eddie Obeng

There’s something about Eddie. We first discovered Eddie Obeng when MTV’s former Global Head of Music told us we had to get connected with him back in 2011 and we’ve remained fans of his work ever since. On the surface he’s a hugely intelligent, provocative, funny and high-energy speaker who really knows how to engage an audience. Dig a little deeper and you’ll learn he’s earned a double first in chemical and biochemical engineering, at age 32 he became Europe’s youngest leader of a business school (Ashridge), he’s a helicopter pilot and a TED Conference speaker.

Dig deeper still and you’ll see Eddie isn’t just telling others to be risktaking and innovative. He’s drinking his own Kool Aid having left a safe academic career years ago to setup his own independent consultancy called Pentacle to help ensure he practices what he preaches. In addition to consultancy and training, they’ve invested building Qube, their own collaborative virtual learning platform.

If innovation is part of your job, then you can’t miss Eddie Obeng’s talk which will open Thinking Digital Manchester at 930am on Tuesday, 3rd November.
